Autism: Building Blocks Toward Success

But hope awakens us like a light shining in the darkness.
--Dwan J. Young

Dear Parents,
If you have a child recently diagnosed with Autism, speed is of the essence, contact the nearest intermediate school district to learn about their early intervention programs.  If you are reading this, you have already begun a crash program in self education.  My hope is that this site will help to get you started along your journey.  Do not hesitate to solicit the help of friends and family. Like diamonds, Autism is forever so the sooner you surround yourself with a support system the better you'll be able to deal with the road ahead.  When you can, start advocating in the community. Real change only comes about when people make it happen.  Never, ever stop learning and advocating for your child.
